Our featured speakers are founding partners of Singapore MedTech Accelerator, a.k.a. SMA. Between them, they have created, incubated, patented and marketed ground-breaking innovations in this sector, taking risks and seizing opportunities available across global markets including the USA, Singapore and the Middle East. About the Speakers

Dr Eitan Konstantino ​Partner, Singapore MedTech Accelerator

Dr Konstantino has made significant contributions to the field of MedTech, with more than two decades in R&D defined by numerous career highs and breakthrough inventions.

He is best known for inventing and developing stents, angioplasty balloons and vascular devices acquired or distributed by top-tier multinationals, including Medtronic, Teleflex, Philips, J&J Cordis, and Boston Scientific. His products are commercially available in majority US hospitals and have generated cumulative revenue approaching $1B globally.

Dr Konstantino founded and led multiple medical device companies in US and Asia from concept through sales, to international M&A, IPO and licensing transactions. He holds over 150 US and international patents and patent applications. He served as Co-Chairman of ASTM/FDA task force for endovascular standards and was recognized by the White House, Office of President Obama as a medical device expert.

Dr Konstantino holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. While at Technion he won the Rothschild Creativity Award and Schwartz Outstanding Achievement Award.


Mr Steve Wiesner

Partner, Singapore MedTech Accelerator


Mr Wiesner has over 30 years of operational and engineering experience in medical devices. He is the founder of Emerald Medical Services Pte Ltd, a Singapore company established to supply manufacturing services and engineering support to the local and global medical device industry. Emerald Medical Services Pte Ltd was acquired by Intricon Inc in May 2020. Mr Wiesner was formerly the General Manager of Avalon Medical Services Pte Ltd which was acquired by Creganna Medical. Heco-chaired the Medtech Singapore Human Capital Development Committee for Industry in collaboration with EDB. A key contributor to the Singapore medtech industry, Steve helped develop and execute a strategic capability road for training Singaporeans to World Class Standards for medical device manufacturing.
