NUS Business School Hosts UAE Companies for Career Fair

Tues, 4 Oct: In conjunction with the NUS BIZCareers Global Careers Series, the NUS Business School (NUS Biz) partnered with the UAE Embassy in Singapore and the UAE Singapore Business Council (UAESBC) to organise an in-campus career fair for NUS MBA students. The event was solely focussed on opportunities for business students in the UAE and featured four of UAE’s largest companies with a strong global presence namely First Abu Dhabi Bank, Borouge, Emirates Airlines and dnata who are also corporate members of the UAESBC.

The Guest of Honour for the event was His Excellency Jamal Alsuwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Singapore and UAESBC Patron. In addition to a speech by His Excellency Jamal, the event began with remarks from Dean of the NUS Busines School, Professor Andrew Rose and President of the UAESBC, Dr Brian Shegar.

The main event featured presentations by representatives of each UAE company to the students introducing the companies and the incentives and opportunities available for Singapore talents in their industry and companies namely:

The presentations were concluded by a presentation by Mr Manish Tibrewal, CFO of Swiss Singapore a leading bulk commodity trading solutions provider incorporated in Singapore with overseas operations spanning 36 countries including the UAE.

There was a tremendous response from the students who filled up the BizAtrium of the School spending their precious lunch time period in between classes to network with recruiters and leadership team of the UAE companies as well as explore opportunities in their offices.
