Oil, Petrochemical & Logistics in the Post COVID19 Era: Introduction to Fujairah Oil Industry Zone

The UAE Singapore Business Council, in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Singapore and the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FUJCCI), are pleased to invite you to our Oil, Petrochemical and Logistics (OPL) annual flagship event on Wednesday, 18th August 2021. The OPL sector represents the most important component of the UAE economy as the country has the seventh largest proven oil and natural gas reserves in the world and is the fourth largest producer of petroleum liquids in OPEC (4 million barrels of oil exports per day).

The organisers are honoured to host Singapore Minister of State for Trade & Industry, Ms Low Yen Ling, as the Guest of Honour for the event. We are also delighted to confirm the participation of a distinguished line-up of speakers representing key industry leaders namely, ADNOC, Borouge, ENOC, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Horizon Terminals. In addition, exclusively for this year, the event will have a special focus on the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ).

The Emirate of Fujairah sits outside the Straits of Hormuz on the Indian Ocean; a major shipping route handling around one-third of the world's waterborne oil. FOIZ holds the Middle East’s largest commercial storage capacity for refined oil and gas products. In addition to learning more out about FOIZ, attendees will also be able to hear from and interact with representatives of Singapore companies who have successfully setup in Fujairah.

We trust that the UAESBC’s Oil, Petrochemical and Logistics webinar will benefit companies who are in this major sector that want to learn from strategies and lessons of the big players in the industry especially in this #postpandemicworld . Business owners will also be able to learn from the valuable experiences of Singapore companies like PEC Ltd and Consort Bunkers on the benefits of setting up operations in Fujairah.
