The UAESBC successfully completed our second outbound Business Mission to the UAE in 2022 from 6th to 11th November 2022. The Mission was organised in collaboration with Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation and the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI). The 22-member Singapore delegation was made up of 15 companies from the oil and gas sector as well as members and staff of the UAESBC, SBF and ASPRI. The Singapore companies also had ample exposure to network with more than 70 UAE based companies/entities during the networking sessions at Abu Dhabi and Fujairah Chamber as well as the two networking receptions hosted by the delegation in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
In Abu Dhabi, the delegation was hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) for a roundtable meeting and networking lunch on Monday, 7th November, with ADCCI members from the same sector. The delegation's visit to ADCCI was led by Singapore Ambassador to UAE, His Excellency Kamal Vaswani. His Excellency Kamal was also the Guest of Honour at a Networking Reception hosted by the delegation at Radison Blu Corniche in Abu Dhabi later that same day.
On 9th November, the Singapore delegation visited Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI). The meeting at FCCO was telecasted on Fujairah TV News on Thursday 10th Nov 2022. The Singapore delegation to Fujairah was led by Consul-General of Singapore to Dubai, His Excellency Raziff Aljunied, and was hosted by their Vice Chairman, His Excellency Ahmed Sultan Al Hantobi and Director General of Fujairah Chamber, His Excellency Sultan Jemei Al Hindasi on Wednesday, 9th November 2022. This is the third delegation that the Council have brought to the UAE since 2019 and the first under the oil and gas theme. Our previous delegation came to UAE in March in conjunction with EXPO2020 and was a collaboration with Singapore Indian Chamber, Singapore Malay Chamber and SGTech covering the IT and F&B sectors. We look forward to bring more Singapore companies in the future so that they can see and experience for themselves the beauty and the bountiful opportunities of the UAE.
The Council would like to express our deepest appreciation to all the UAE government agencies and companies in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Sharjah and Dubai who have kindly hosted or met with the delegation.
The Council would also like to thank SBF and ASPRI leadership and staff for what has been a fruitful and eventful collaboration.
