Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, shared his views and strategies on how UAE and Singapore can be partners for the current world that is in transition. He shared this in an article he wrote on Sunday, 12 Jan 2020, in The National UAE, a main daily newspaper published from Abu Dhabi.

He wrote that “With the signing of the Singapore-UAE Comprehensive Partnership (SUCP) during a visit by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Singapore in 2019, we are well-positioned to explore collaboration in new frontiers, such as the digital economy, food security and innovation. We look forward to leveraging our participation in Expo 2020 to co-create solutions to global problems with the UAE and other international partners…Such linkages will prove ever more critical going forward in a fast-changing and uncertain world.”

We are pleased to highlight that the UAESBC was quoted in the SUCP Agreement as one of the conduit for the UAE and Singapore to develop and maintain such linkages. As such, we are committed in our mission to promote the trade and investment flows between the two countries.
