Congratulations to the UAESBC 2021 Executive Committee Members who were elected on Wednesday, 28th April at the UAESBC's 4th AGM. The event was graced by the newly appointed UAESBC Patron, His Excellency Jamal Abdulla Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Singapore.
Amidst social distancing restrictions at the Singapore Cricket Club, more than 30 members attended in-person and more than 10 members attended the AGM virtually via Zoom including our members who are in the UAE and the USA.
The AGM began with introduction to the new UAESBC Patron, H.E. Jamal Al Suwaidi, who takes over from UAESBC's Founding Patron, H.E. Dr Mohamed Omar Balfaqeeh who retired last year. This was followed by introductions to our Corporate Sponsor Members and other items in the Agenda including the departure of two EXCO Members this year, Mr Clarence Singam-Zhou and Mr Abdulwahab Ismail. Mr Singam-Zhou was given a formal farewell back in March (CLICK HERE to read more about it), while Mr Ismail received his farewell token via courier to Abu Dhabi just in time for the AGM.
The main event was the election of Office Bearers and EXCO Members which was proposed, supported and elected without any challengers. The names of the elected EXCO members are awaiting approval from the Registry of Societies before being published. We wish the new EXCO under the leadership of Founding President, Dr Brian Shegar, all the best in steering the Council into greater success in 2021.
