The last UAESBC Quarterly Breakfast Talk of 2019 held on Wednesday, 11th December, was very specialin the cosy Christmassy ambience of the Singapore Cricket Club. Our Guest Speaker, Gareth Nicholson from Bank Of Singapore, presented on the topic of “Investing in Asia: the Dynamo of the World” where he shared informative and significant developments around Asia and the outlook for Asia as main players in the global economy that impact investment decisions.
Our Q&A session, in typical UAESBC Breakfast Talk fashion, prompted insightful questions focussing more on the role and impact of the Middle East and UAE in particular on the world economy.
We were indeed honoured yet again that His Excellency Dr Mohamed Omar Balfaqeeh was able to grace the occasion as Guest of Honour and even shared briefly his personal views for the outlook of the region.
We also heard from UAESBC’s newest EXCO Member, Mr Vikram Malhotra of Bank of Singapore, on the role BOS intends to play within the Council to enhance UAE-Singapore business and investment relations.
