4 April 2024: Dr Brian Shegar, President of UAESBC, was kindy invited by the UAE Embassy to speak to UAE’s Future 100 Companies on Singapore as an attractive business destination.
Future 100 is a list of the UAE’s best upcoming enterprises, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Economy in partnership with the Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi. This initiative aims to celebrate and support SMEs making promising contributions to the UAE’s future economic sectors.
Future 100 aims to encourage investment in “Future Economy” companies in the UAE, and strengthen the country’s position as a startup and scale-up nation. Dr Shegar briefed the UAE-based SMEs, operating in emerging sectors such as agritech, intelligent mobility, fintech, healthtech and sustainability, on Singapore’s business environment.
The companies then posed questions to Dr Shegar regarding Singapore government initiatives, how to leverage Singapore’s key stakeholders and the nation’s socio-economic needs.
The UAESBC is delighted to continue its goal in supporting future trade initiatives between Singapore and the UAE, and expresses its thanks again to the UAE Embassy for this opportunity.
