United Arab Emirates Banking & Finance, 5th July 2022
Updated: Nov 29, 2022
The Banking and Finance Sector is one of the most important sectors in the UAE as demonstrated by its role as a major financial hub for the Middle East and beyond. The regulatory framework for banking in the UAE is based on the Banking Law where the Central Bank is entrusted with the issuance and management of the country's currency, and the regulation of the banking and financial sectors. UAE banks – both domestic and foreign – are the backbone of the financial industry, providing retail and corporate services to members of the private and public sectors.
